Litre Meter offers the Viscous Fluid Flowmeter, VFF that is ideal for measurement of very low flow rates and accepts a high turn down. The VFF uses rotary piston technology, and it has only one moving part, which makes it very robust and ideal for hostile environments. The oil company, Petrobras favours the HART protocol for its offshore platform instrumentation, not just to read the flow rates but also to be able to change measurement units from the control room. FINT’s HART technology has enabled Lewa Pumps in Brazil, to provide Petrobras with a fully HART compliant chemical injection package. According to Alan Christie of Litre Meter, Fint’s T210 built-in module was an excellent solution for adapting the existing MODbus output to communicate over HART.
